Gammon Slam is a new international backgammon tour, officially sanctioned by the WBF and founded by Arda Findikoglu. Its goal is to unite major independent tournaments worldwide into a single, prestigious circuit with a unified points system and a high-profile final event.

            The tour addresses a key challenge in backgammon today: while many tournaments exist, player numbers remain stable, and attendance at individual events is diluted. By connecting tournaments under one system, Gammon Slam motivates players to travel more, compete across events, and earn points toward the tour’s ranking system.

            The first edition in 2026 will feature 5–6 prestigious events already confirmed, including the Gibraltar Championship, Greek Grand Prix Gammon Cruise, Montenegro Grand Prix, Oasis Cup in Dubai, and Cyprus Merit Open. The season 2026 culminates in January 2027 in Istanbul, where the top 24 players will compete in the Gammon Slam Final, a double-elimination event with a guaranteed €10,000 prize pool.
